Florida native Plants

Today I had a wonderful visit to the Native Gardens Nursery in Elkton FL (ten miles west of Saint Augustine). The owner Renee has a great collection of native bushes and shrubs appropriate for xeriscaping and attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Her gardens is open two days a month and by appointment (web site is When in NE Florida and taking a ride in the agricultural country of major cabbage and potato production pay her a visit. When passing thru Palatka you can visit Corky Bells for a gatorish treat of fresh FL seafood while dining on the St. Johns River. We will be spending Mothers Day morning planting the native shrubs we bought for our garden.

Peace Love and understanding Y'all Bobby Z
