I am from the tropical country of Malaysia, and currently live in the cold "tundra" of Superior, WI. I grow African violets at home and work. I am currently working on getting my perennial bed installed in the front yard. In it, I plan to plant hollyhocks, bee balm, spiderwort, lemon balm, sage, thyme, creeping oregano, irises, daylilies and maybe some vegetables in between the perennials. I am training my red and pink clematis' to climb up each side of the porch and might plant a couple climbing roses to pair up with the clematis for privacy. My sister and I got our love of plants from our parents and grandparents. I also volunteer at the local elementary school, historical society and museum gardens; and have a community garden plot where I plant my edibles.
