- I'm Steve and just turned 47 on April 25th. I was originally from Long Island, New York and have moved to Charlotte N.C. in 2005.
Back on Long Island, I had 1/3 of an acre on which I planted fruit trees (apples, peaches, plums blue berries, raspberries, strawberries and 3 varieties of grapes). I also make a victory garden with a white picket fence around it where I grew tomatoes, egg plants, peppers, zucchini, garlic, lettuce and beets. In a different part of the yard, I had a small water feature with water plants and lilies in it with the gold fish surrounded by a variety of colored calla lilies. Through out the rest of the property I grew peonies, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, hostas, hollyhocks, bearded irises, Japanese irises, and finally many different colored perennial hibiscus.
Now that I moved to Charlotte, I have my work cut out for me trying to create some of the same beautiful plants and flower arrangements at my new home.
