I am a native Tennesseean, but have spent half of my adult life at various places in the east. I am medically retired from teaching sociology at the college level. I continue to research and write some; I hope to do more as my health improves. Have just now gotten out into my garden. I had a few things left from before my tenants wrecked my yard--an old fashioned pink rose, one clematis, a few flowering shrubs, and a row of candy pink crepe myrtles that must be 25 feet tall.

I have one son, his wife, and one grandson--cutest little guy you ever did see :) Unfortunately they live in Maryland so I don't get to see them often.
