Welcome Tassie. I wish I had more information on Plant Swaps in your area. I wish there were plant swaps in my area. The closest one is the Denton County Plant Swap, but too far of a drive for me lol

I don't know anything about Waco either except I do like it here. What fun I shall have searching out the town and learning about its history. Also have to learn about the growing seasons...which I think is different from the southern part of Texas...like Houston where I lived for some time. Everything grows there very well.

Google your county name and planting schedule Agrilife puts out a good one for Travis county that I follow fairly religiously. I am planting tomatoes for fall now. Squash next week (IF I GET A HANDLE ON THE SQASH BUGS). Many of the planmts I grow don't grow in Houston. LOL. They LIKE the dry limey soil.

What fun!

A group of people who love and appreciate nature meeting together sharing ideas, plants and good conversation would be wonderful and great fun. Lets do it!

Hi! to all DFW folks!

Been a while since I've been online. First my ancient computer went down for the count. Now I've got to renew my internet account. As it was said earlier, life gets in the way sometimes. I reallymiss talking to all my plant friends and hope to be back in the saddle again real soon. Stay cool out there!!

Busy spring and summer

Hi all, it has been ages since I posted here. Lots of plants growing well. They did not like the Waco area! I was looking at photos from last year and now.. what a difference in plant condition in Galveston county as compared to McLennan county. I love the tropical plants, perhaps from my many years spent in Florida. My kids are nearer also. Will try to post pictures. Thrilled as a plumeria cutting from my ten year old mother plant bloomed beautifully this year. Huge flower group...pink. Remy, nice to meet you. Right now I do not have anything to swap, but perhaps this fall I shall. Is anybody looking for something special?

I'd love some information on these swaps in South Austin and San Antonio I'm hearing about. If anyone knows anything else about where to keep up with that stuff i'm all ears!

Thank you KLovesplants. I followed your thread to this area and subscribed too.
My wife and I live in Ennis, about an hour south of DFW.
