Temple/Belton Plant Swap - Saturday, Sept. 30thWe are having a plant swap in Belton - midway between Austin and Waco - on the last Saturday of this month. The Ag office of Bell County has graciously allowed us to meet there. So, it will either be outside behind the building or inside the classroom where the Master Gardener classes are held. Bell County Extension Office 1605 North Main Belton, TX 76513 While we'll start gathering anytime after 8:30am, we'll be sharing lunch with whoever brings some munchies. We'll be sharing plants. Anything garden related would be welcomed. For those who stay through lunch, we'll have some outstanding books of plants that do well in Central Texas. This is an outstanding location. Since I'm the Production Manager for our greenhouse, we'll be able to take you over into it so you can see where the Master Gardeners of our county work at propagating and growing plants based upon what we learn in our class. Many of the Master Gardeners have already expressed an interest in coming. So there will be plenty of people that can answer any questions you may have about your plants or problems in growing them. Come join us for a really good time! Xtal Last edited by PlantSwap; 09-21-2006 at 08:12 AM. Reason: Correct date |

| Can you edit? title says Oct 30 I'm going to try my best to get there: it's about 2 hours away, & I haven't been potting up stuff with a goal of the end of this month, but I'll check to see what I have/what I can put together, & see if I can't get my lazy behind out the door early enough! I know I can have sedums & coleus (you just have to keep the coleus inside during the winter, oops, forgot who I was talkin' to; maybe you can leave it outside where you are!) & I have lots of seeds. some of them are from maybe 2004, but there still ought to be at least some germination, & they're "free to good home". |

Which Date is Correct?Yes, Let's please get the date correct and get it posted on the event calendar. The last Saturday of this month is Sept. 30th but your initial post says Oct 30th, Which month is it? The Austin/San Antonio Plant Swap is the last Sat. in Oct., the 28th, in Buda just south of Austin. Hope they are not both on the same date. |

The Bell County MG's Fall Plant Sale is October 21st. I'm working Saturday morning, otherwise I'd LOVE to go to the Austin Plant Swap. Darn it. Xtal |

| Kancheta, Hope you do make it to the Austin/San Antonio Plant Swap in Buda on April 21. I know it's a pretty good drive from Coperas Cove. If you need more info contact Chargreen (see member list on this forum). I will look forward to meeting you there. Closer to you will be the Temple/Belton plant swap in fall as well. Plant swaps are a lot of fun! Bob Beyer, NW Austin |

| I would like to come but I have to sweet talk my DH into bringing me and he is probably going to try and get out of it since it is a bit of a drive but I will do my best. I will have to wait and see when it gets closer. Looking forward to meeting you all too. Just thought about it I might can bribe him with Cabela's being close to there, lol. |
