Snow in Central Texas

I got about 5 inches here today. I hope it doesn't kill everything. I protected what I could but nothing I could do for whats in the ground. My pomagranate branches were loaded with baby fruits. I hope they make it.

It's just cold and rainy here in Houston, but I'm glad I haven't planted any tomatoes yet. This was a prettly late cold snap. Much like last year except later.

Wow Kancheta, that is a lot of snow for April in Central TX!! We only reached 36 degrees in Austin, some scattered sleet but no plant damage. I didn't take any chances and protected everything, just in case. Got a good snow picture to post?

Ok, I will post some in the gallery. Everything that I didn't bring inside made it ok although all the buds fell off of my beautiful hybiscus but I think it is putting on new ones now. One pic is of the blue bonnets next door almost covered in snow earlier in the day. The other is my pomegranate tree later in the evening.
