New from Abilene, TX, Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore...

Not entirely sure how I got here, but figured, what the heck, lie down and enjoy it. I like bananas, palms, agave, tropicals. Am thinking about trying my hand at growing a pineapple. Maybe. The lakes are finally full. Rivers & creeks a running. Hope the water table will begin to rise too. Greetings from West Central Texas, everyone. Namaste`, Mick

Native SPUD here

I understand your bewilderment. After coming from thr high desert; I thought I'd found Heaven at Austin; then my hubby has moved me here to Clyde, on the way to Lake Brownwood. I almost feel like a Pioneer. **rolls her eyes**

Welcome to West Texas

Welcome to West Texas. It isn't so bad. Everyone has to have a place to hang their hat. This one is as good as any if you want it to be. I was born here in the 50's. In the 60's I lived in California between the mountains and the beach. In the 70's I lived in Idaho and loved it. In the 80's I moved back home. I just got back from running in the 2008 Austin Marathon. I love that area too. Namaste` -- Mick
