coneflowers

Does anyone have good luck w/ other coneflowers besides the purple? I have had quite a few different kinds, but the purple ones like magnus do the best for me. White swan is the next best one that does well.

Had some problems posting pictures and was wondering if you can see the 8 coneflower picts I posted? They show on my computer, but for some reason people can't see some of my pictures. Thanks

Did you upload them first to photo bucket or some place like that?
You have to copy an paste them from there to appear on here.

They are beautiful! This is the first year I'm trying different varieties than the white & pink. Too early to say how they'll be. One is finally getting a bloom. I did have a Harvest Moon variety that came back this year in a darker shade of pink. Plant's doing fine though.

Hey mind saving me some tiki seeds or if you have extra plants now of tiki?
I will make a trade if you do.
Are they hardy in zone 5

Thank you. For me the purple are the best at reseeding, then white swan and maybe harvest moon. The seeds can take a year to bloom, but make sure the seedlings get enough water. They're not the easiest seeds to germinate for me. I love all coneflowers but decided I wasn't going to replace the fancy ones because they don't usually last more than a season. Maybe to hot? I think they are supposed to be hardy to zone 3, but I'm zone 7b.

Bali, the tiki torch are from last year and only had one come back. Unfortunately that one died before it bloomed so no seeds. Didn't save any of those seeds from last year, because I was hoping they would self sow. You may have better luck with them because they like a lot of sun to bloom well and where I am in Tx they need more shade.
