Very beautiful Cannas, Sandra. They are very popular here too. There are many wild of differents colors . I use the round black seeds to make handmade necklaces.

Your cannas look really nice and big! I have some and they are just getting first leaves, do you leave yours in the ground year round? I can't in my zone they have to be dug up and stored. Very pretty!

I was given 5 canna seeds last fall, and started them inside, 4 germinated, one seedling died, the others have gotten big. I can use tips on what type of soil thgey like etc, I'll be planting them in containers. Oh and I also got some more seeds from the ever-changing mystery box and will be planting those as well. One of my cannas have two bulbs on the side, the other two are smaller.

River, they usually bloom later in the summer...this year the ones on the south side of the house are blooming early.....the ones in the backyard haven't started blooming yet.
Ana, wow, i love them! Some of them look so difficult, like the ones that loop! That is awesome!
Ang, Yes, they stay outside year round....we didn't plant that many...they just grow and grow. Thank you
Skay, We got the rhizomes (i think that is right) from a neighbor a few years ago...I've never grown them from seed. I will look for seeds this year....Ours are just planted in regular topsoil. Once they get going....you will have alot!
