I think anyone who is really a grower or plant enthusiast has a special connection to the plants they grow. I also think that plants know who their caretaker is and respond positively unlike the negative response when someone else tries to care for them. I care for all me seedlings as if they were children and at times it feels like it were. My mornings, noon, and evenings all involve a couple hours to inspect my Capsicum plants/seedlings, Cacti seedlings, carnivorous plants/seedlings and my yellow polyp corals and star polyps. I see similarities in oceanic corals and fungi and as a result have a mild interest in both for very different reasons. Plants are who I am and what people around me know me as that, or the Hot Sauce Guy! I know that without the knowledge or passion for plants I would be lost in this chaotic space.

Lol, mini, I do that to, lol And open curtains for them, turn on lights for them and talk to them half the time. My sons get mad at me and jealous sometimes over my plants. Lol, everyone that knows me knows I'm seriously addicted to my plants.

I'll admit that I do.
I like to inspect every one of them for any changes. My favorite one so far was a dieffenbachia that was 99% dead when I got it. It had been in a cup of "water" for a long time. It was covered in algae....it was gross. Watching this thing go from a slimy stump with no leaves to a normal looking plant was pretty fun.Watching cuttings in water grow roots is pretty interesting too. haha
Yes, I know it's not normal.

Hi Avid Gardener. I'm the same way!! I'm "chomping at the bit" waiting on a package already & it's not due in till Friday! LOL We can be addicts together. I enjoy sharing, trading, & learning while making friends & having fun all while making our world better one flower/plant at a time..
