I actually dumpster dove this weekend, to get more newspapers for my front-yard project that you guys have been so supportive about. While seperating the glossies from the usable stuff last night, I came across an article about a local woman here in colorado springs, who was accosted by a man. The title was something like, Man accosts woman, set to lose an eye.
This self-proclaimed christian-hater decided to follow this nice lady up to her apartment to hurt her, just because she was a christian. And she head butted him a few times when he got violent. Now he has to get surgery to remove his bashed eye. This little old lady actually beat that drunken idiot that badly . Sorry but I find it pretty ironic and slightly humorous. Also this guy has hurt people before, for the same reasons, and isn't mentally ill in any way as far as they said.... he just gets violent at christians while intoxicated.

Sorry but just wanted to say way to go little old lady, I thought that it was awesome that she could defend herself like that.
Not condoning violence, but I still think it's ok to defend oneself. Especially hardcore grannies!!!!!

i agree about defending yourself. just because you're a christian, doesn't mean you have to be completely oblivious on how to defend yourself if the situation ever presented itself, or that you have to just lay there like a dead rat & not do anything while people are manhandling you. it's unfortunate that the guy has to have his eye removed, and i'm sure the lady feels bad about that.. but what are you supposed to do, when someone starts attacking you?.. especially when they're belligerently drunk & all sense of reason has gone out the window?.. that guy shouldn't be violent toward anyone.. if he has that much of a problem when he's drunk, that he tries to beat up old women, he just needs to put down the bottle & get some therapy or something to his temper under control. meanie pants.

You know sometimes when people are in that situation the adenalyn kicks in to high gear and one never know what can happen. Sounds like this guy cam out lucky. If she was pumped up enough she probable could of killed him and not even been aware of it till it was done. Good job Gmom!!!
