No land , jewelry, or money came with the tittle. You have heard of upward mobility well, meet "downward nobility". Yes I have traveled lots. My mother's family lived in Philadelphia for 300 years and my mother was a black sheep that welped nothing but black sheep and she never stopped herding us from place to place. I was born in Thailand and then we have lived in Philly, NYC, New Hampshire, Andros , Texas, Hawaii, Idaho, and back to Texas. I have family in New Zealand, Alaska, Bali and Hawaii, Russia and that doesn't even talk about the cousins who have never left Philadelphia. My nephew lives between France, England and Hawaii. Now there is a lucky duck born under one amazing ly fortunate star. He was born in Philly and grew up in Hawaii, New Zealand and is married to a Brit who's parents have a tiny "villa" outside the walls of a medieval french village high in the Maritime Alps. He has 3 citizenships.

LoL 3 citizenship's?! that's amazing!

i love traveling! i've been to japan (love japan!!), south korea, all over the southern US, and am going to NYC soon. i hope to sneak in a trip to Canada or at least philly while i'm there! lol

i just don't like traveling by myself & i don't have any friends that can go with me. lol my solution thus far has been to make friends in other countries so i can go visit them. they take me around their town/country & i just hang out with them. when i was teaching english in korea, i even got to stay with my boss & his wife showed me how to make a bunch of korean food & i got to go shopping a lot. XD it was awesome!

i would like to find a group of folks my age to travel with, though. it'd be a lot of fun. i wanna visit my friends in scotland, ireland, england, south africa, the netherlands, vietnam, the philippines & i would also like to go to russia, israel, ghana, mexico, thailand, china, indonesia & etc.. of course all over europe, too!!... mom & dad love france, but i've never had the chance to visit. lol

Last summer we went to Russia, Estonia, Germany and Provence. We staid in Youth Hostels all over and It was inexpensive. The Youth hostel in Russia was aeround the corner from the Hermitage. It had been Rasputen's apartment buildig. St,Petersburg is a city that never sleeps. I never had Jet lag. I just went outside, the sun was still up at 12:30 am and walked around. The streets were still alive. I met amazing artist and an experimental theater company that was building a theater inside the walls of Peter's fort. So much energy there right now. I went to school in mainland china right after the cultural revelution in '79. I have been to New zealand, Bahamas. grand cayman's, Mexico, Canada. I would like to go to this Bamboo architecture symposium in Guatemala and build a building for their art center for the kids. It is on a large lake really high in the mountains, but the way business is going , I don't think that I will make it. I like the idea of traveling with a purpose., or traveling as service work.

Onyx, If you do get to Philly, Check out Longwood Gardens, and get coffee/lunch at the Italian market. That city has some great art museums there and good tours of amazing murals. Another city to walk ones feet off. There is a network of B&B's that are in the old buildings of society hill. I find strange places to stay everywhere I go . One trip to the Big Island I arrived at Xmas time with family in tow and without a reservation. We staid in a tree house, a zen monastery, State park cabins, and this falling down old boarding school for Hawaii royalty that was made into a Flop house/ Bed and breakfast. The guy in the room next to me made his living gathering wild fruit and selling it to hotels. Everyone was so friendly. Very odd building. $15 a night. Traveling is an adventure. I would love to go on a plant collecting trip in Mexico, China, South Africa, pampas area of brazil and argentina. A girl can dream, can't she. I like to drive without a map and go right , left, right, left. I just went to OK that way and I could have gone down one road. I found a town full of used book stores all owned by Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove, Last Picture Show)
