Coolshipping

What do you all say the best and cheapest way to ship a package is? Is it usps or ups, or something else? Not just seeds cause the usps is still probably the best going by weight? Thanks.

I lean toward USPS, I've seen how UPS handle their packages plus they tend to have higher prices.

My 2 cents. lol

If you are going to send a lot of stuff, you can get set priced boxes from the po. I have boxes that ship out for $10 no matter what you put in them, you can also get some set for $8. It's good if you have a lot to stuff into a box.

I used ups once and decided never again. I thought it was expensive.

I prefer FedEx over UPS, but usually use the postal service.

When I first started trading, I checked out all the prices. Can't remember all the details I found out, but the USPS was generally the most economical for plant shipping. And I, too, liked the flat rate boxes.

ZuZu

For that delivery confirmation, does the person have to be home and sign for it or do they put something in the mailbox? I don't like the idea with ups that sometimes they won't deliver if the person is not there to sign, mainly when you are in the city, thats what I had a ups driver tell me. I used to ship ups online from an old job. Like anything else every year they did up prices. So I am guessing delivery confirmation is about the same as a tracking number? Can you view the pkg online to know where it is at all times? Thanks.

Nope, not at all. I agree, that would not be a good thing,
there is no signature required, and the pkg will simply be left as usual.

Yes the DC is just a tracking number,
It allows anyone to check on the progress of the pkg while it is enroute ...
... and if it does happen to get lost,
you can report the number to the USPS and put them right on the job of finding it.

It is something that services like UPS or Fedex do with all of their pkgs anyway, I believe,
and it's probably part of the reason why those services cost more.

I use USPS, Priority Mail and have had no problems. However I'm missing 2 items that I had ordered and have the tracking #, reported it to post office, nothing done. Frustrating.

usps

Mandy that is why I worried about usps, but maybe if we us that delivery confirmation we can get answers. I know that their reg pgk can not track. That what I always liked about ups but that is more expensive. Ya just can't win!
