I have satellite but I just got it a few months back. I was in the same boat you are now. Slow dial up. I really enjoy the satellite but it is very pricey. We have 4 computers here and high speed is the only way to go with that many computers.

I just stepped into the 21st century finally with comcast. had dial up until just about 2 months ago. Highspeed is eggggggggcellent

I've got 6MB/s high speed from my Cable provider.

Haven't had dial-up in 8 years.
Upgrade!! Upgrade!! You'll LOVE it.

i have cable, too.. i use cox communications. very fast, good service & nice support people.

you will definitely love & appreciate highspeed internet, if & when you upgrade! you'll wonder how you got on for so long with dialup. lol and you get to see websites that you couldn't before - there's so much informational or hilarious stuff out there.
