good morning Bob. I have tried finding one, but either were sold 2or3 years ago or they want to much for the booklet. we bought this one for $6.00, bought a new seal for $10.00 but I don't want to get up to new price. a friend on another site suggested maybe someone online might have one they wouldn't mind coping. never can tell what you can find at garage sales. thanks for the reply.

That's fantastic, davsher!
I wonder if the original owner of your canner might have been a friend of your friend at church who still has hers -
wouldn't that be something?

up date on the canner guide. I have the booklet to copy from our friend, it's the same canner as mine, same year, same company made them. only difference is hers is a presto and mine is a steamliner. we installed the new seals and tested it on Tuesday it came up to pressure and worked fine. the only thing is we have a electric stove keeping the pressure will take a little getting use to. the green beans are about ready, can tell after that. oh I asked her about knowing the lady I got the canner from, but she didn't know her. wish me luck. I have never pressure canned before I broke a lot of beans, shelled a lot of peas for my mom years ago. but never thought I would ever do it but since we retired we like putting stuff up it's fun and it takes up some of our time.
