A poemLORD, Give me patience when wee hands... tug at me with their small demands... And give me gentle smiling eyes... Keep my lips from hasty replies!! So in years to come, when my house is still... No bitter memories its rooms may fill!! Author Unknown |

| That couldn't have been more appropriate for me today since I just went to my baby's 5th grade promotion. Where does the time go? They have a slide show of the kids throughout their 6 years at the school and the principal was handing out tissues because we were all bawling our eyes out!!!

| I only have one kid... my husband. So here's my poem. Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom to understand my man; Love to forgive him; And Patience for his moods. Because, Lord, if I pray for Strength, I'll beat him to death. ![]()

PoemGardenmom, I went my 2nd graders last day of school. I got all weepy because he was suppose to go there one more year(3rd graders get a ceremonie as they move into 4th grade at another school) but because of some legalities the principle isnt allowing him. We were told we can choose what school dist we send our kids to because we are on the border. So they went to the one we picked, well we decided to move our older children to a neighboring district of which we are actually suppose to sdend them too. Now they have said my younger one must transfer also. I am sad because he has been with these kids since K. So anyway it was a sad day for me. Kitty, your poem is so funny! Thanks for maing me laugh! ![]() |

| JessieBella677 - sorry to hear of your school issues. I think we all live for nostalgia but I'm sure the new school will eventually feel like home. Youngsters are so resilient and in no time he will be looking forward to the traditions at the new school. Good Luck!

Thanks Gardening momYes you are so right...I will probably need more adjusting than him. I think he is actually excited about the change even though he was a little sad today. I agree kids are resilient. I am just not good about change...never have been. I wish my kids could stay little a litttle longer. However if they did maybe parents wouldnt appreciate those times as much. Some dont anyway. I know it can be trying but without children the world would be dead because without new life there is no life. Same goes for plants too! I think thats why I love gardening, the plants are like my babies! I am a nurturer so I love taking care of things. It is very fullfilling to see something grow and blossom whether it be child or plant or pet. Eved if they dont blossom the way we thought they should each one has its own brilliance! OH LORD...I am such a sap... |

Must be like a time warpIt must bring back many memories for you with your children. My mom thinks grand kids are way better than your own kids. You get all the fun Mom and Dad get all the work! Yes I am very sentimental about my kids or as someone else said nostalgic. |

| >We had 3 daughter's but now only 2 as God called our oldest Home last March, now we're helping raise the grands(6) and we learned to cherish every moment, we just love to spoil them then send them home, lol, isn't being a Grand the Coolest, the saying is true-"Wish I had Grandkids first, I might've not made so many mistakes with our own." Life is worth the Living just because He(JESUS) lives...
