PlantSwap.net Stickers

Hey everyone...

I've gotten into making stickers lately. And it just hit me like a TON of bricks that I could make some for the forum and its members.

1. They could serve to show how proud you are to be a member here...
2. They could advertise for the site and draw more swapping folks in...
3. You could order some and give them away at plant swaps, etc...

They could serve a LOT of different purposes.

The stickers I can make right now would be 3.5" tall by 4" wide and be oval shaped. They'd be black & white. I chose black and white because its a very clean color. And it draws attention very well! It can either be black letters ON white background... or white letters ON black background.

They could say almost anything:
"PlantSwap.net" to
"SWPR - Plantswap.net" or
"SWAPPER - Swapping Plants at PlantSwap.net"

The possibilities are literally endless!

Here's the thing.

If I do them, I have to do at least 10 because that's how the material is sold. So we'd have to kind of get on here and agree as to what we'd want.
OR, if you are buying for yourself to give away to friends and things, just let me know and I'll make as many as you want as long as its at least 10.

I can do as many as 1000, LOL.

As long as you are not using the site logo (or representing the stickers as official merchandise), you are free to make up stickers as you like.

I have been thinking about the possibility of creating a CafePress "shop" with PlantSwap branded merchandise, but wasn't sure if there was sufficient interest. If there is interest, I wonder if folks like the simple cartoon logo we have now (see my signature), or if I should go ahead and get a professional logo made. Thoughts?

Actually, I haven't figured out HOW to put logos and things on them. So you're safe there

They are just really plain, yet eye-catching stickers that you can put a few words on. Nothing major at all.

I'd never say they were official unless you specifically sent a certified letter through the mail to me endorsing them. lol I'd never want to take any part of the site and use it as mine. I'm not like that.

I just think this would be a fun way to get the name out there and show our pride as plant swappers.

I'd like to see a pea green (like the site's background) shirt with that wagon logo stamped or embroidered over the the left breast pocket and maybe on the back with the address underneath it. I would wear it to the botanical gardens when we go downtown or just out to shop at the nurseries on a Saturday morning. I'd even put a bumper sticker on my Jeep's tirecover if you could produce it at a reasonable price!

Sorry, just kidding. I love the idea. I'd really like to have some sort of paper to give to people when I'm out and about at the nurseries. I talk about this site all the time to people.

Was wondering if you had thought of this to help pay some of the sites expenses? Coffee mugs are my favorite(probably due to the amount of time I have a cup of it in my hands). And maybe a hat to cover my balding head!!
