A Philosophy of Life (would that I had lived it thus)

If I had my life to live over, I would relax. I would limber up. I would be siller than I have been on this trip. I know of very few things I would take seriously. I would be crazier. I would be less hygenic. I would take more chances. I would take more trips. I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers, and watch more sunsets. I would burn more gasoline. I would eat more ice cream and less beans.

I would have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary ones. You see, I am one of those people who lives prophylactically and sensibly, and sanely, hour after hour, day after day.
Oh, I have had moments, and, if I had it to do over again, I'd have more of them. In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead each day.

I have been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a themometer, an umbrella, a rain-coat, a gargle, a laxative, an antispasmotic, saftey pins, a belt and suspenders. If I had it to do all over again, I would go places and travel lighter than ever.

If I had to live my life over, I would start barefooted earlier in Spring and stay that way in the Fall. I would have played hooky from school more. I would have made better grades by accident. I should have ridden more merry-go-rounds. I would have had more real close friends and pick more daises with my family.

Then too, there is a poem I like, with an unknown author, and it goes this way:

>If you hold your nose to the grind-stone rough,
>And hold it there long enough,
>You'll soon forget there are such things,
>As brooks that babble and birds that sing.
>These three things will your world compose,
>Just you, and a stone, and your darned old nose.

No claim is made to complete originality for reason that one's thoughts are seldom without influence from association with great and wonderful people whom all of us have known in a lifetime short or long.
Therefore, to those people known or unknown to me, I give due credit, respect and honor in absentia.
