a partyhaha ...that got your attention! Well, I've decided to try doing a home party for all my homemade soaps and stuff....but I've never done those things before. I'll do drinks and snacks and stuff, but when it comes to the selling....I don't want to be like a pushy salesperson or something....so was wondering what makes any of you feel comfortable if and when you go to something like that... It is all my own stuff, not through some company name, so I think it would be comfortable and I want it to be inviting and warm, I'm going to do this in December, good time for the holidays... but again, just not sure how to "talk about selling it" without making people feel like they want to go home. I don't really like going to those parties much myself, sooooo am a little lost. any ideas?

| Well the ones I have been to..Most of them have a short presentation of there products. Talk about how you make the items mabe show the molds and a litttle about the process. Talk about the oils you put in them maybe pass around the vials of oils so people can smell them. Just little easy things like that. Dont make it too long and then you can end with "if you have any questions please feel free to ask." Enjoy the goodies!!! Just some ideas for ya. ![]() |

| i would just talk about the advantages your products offer.. and how they're made & that the animals are treated well & that kind of thing.. maybe tell the people about how you make your soaps & what other ingredients go into it.. so they know it's natural stuff.. and also tell them about the benefits the soap will have on their skin, opposed to regular store-bought soaps, which can contain lots of chemicals & skin irritants.. and maybe stress that they'd be supporting a local business, rather than a big corporation & that the money made from the soaps goes back into caring for the animals properly & that kinda thing.. might also mention that nothing is tested on animals & stuff like that.. cause i went to one of those mary kay parties & i asked them about what all went into their products & what their brushes were made out of & etc.. really all you need to do is talk about it like you would anything else that you really benefited from.. like when you see a good movie, you tell your friends "you have GOT to see that movie! it was AWESOME!" lol and you don't feel bad about it.. so just talk to the people about your products, like you're a customer (because you are).. and tell them that you wanted other people to have the same benefits from it as you are & that you honestly believe in what you're offering, otherwise you wouldn't be doing this. ![]() see? i've almost talked myself into buying your soap, and i don't even know what it's made out of (except goat milk). lol (seriously.)if you're having the party at your house.. you could always give people a tour of your facilities & introduce them to the cute little goats that they're supporting. ![]() |
