New Pics! Take a look...

Hey everyone...

I just took some pictures of my summer landscape (nothing much really, I AM a beginner, lol) and I'd love for you to take a look at them.

I've also got two pictures (of the same type of flower) that I need help identifying if you wouldn't mind helping me with that. They are the bottom right two pictures (pink flowers) in my new album (link below).

Here's the link to my new album:

Let me know what you think of it all.

Later

Thumbs up

Looks great! Nice work.

My first impression of your pink flowers is Lycoris:
Click here and see what you think.
Sometimes called "Surprise Lilies" or "Naked Ladies" because the flowers shoot up
without the foliage, which won't usually return until the following spring.

thanks

I had traded for one of those back a couple yrs ago an had forgotten all about it. It was blooming the other day an was such a "surprise" to see it. The next day I found it broken an brought it in so it could finish blooming. I myself was curious as to what lilly it was.

David you've done a beautiful job with your plants! That pink lily flower is very pretty! And your coleus must really like the care you've given it. I think of you wen I sit on my front porch because I have some coleus there in a pot next to my swing. I remember you finding your coleus in your lawn. Good job!

More Coleus?? I truly appreciate the offer, but all I've got to do right now is just LOOK at the Coleus I already have and they multiply.. HAHA.

Thanks though...

And Donna, I'll send you some cuttings off of the ROS when you get settled into your new place so you'll have babies off your old plants if you want.

I've actually got some Sugar Maples (about 10 of them) that are doing well too. I need to take a picture of them. I'm training one of them as a Bonsai. Pretty Cool!!

Omg

David-I could cry-Really? I'm overwhelmed!

When my husband and I were young, our landlord sold our house and gave us 2 weeks to move. We didn't have the money to get another place and had nowhere to go. I ended up giving my beloved Persian cats to a kill shelter that immediately put them down and we went homeless with 4 kids and lived in our suburban in the winter in Michigan. After we were established again, a woman that I had given one of my favorite cats' kittens to gave me the kitten back. Fourteen years later, I still have her and she sure reminds me of her mom and daddy. I always thought it was God's way of comforting me after we lost everything. Now I am trying to find her and my other kitties a new good home because each animal would need to be quarantined for 12 months after being transported to Australia. We estimated it to cost about $9,000 per animal. I adore my pets but we can't do it. I know God will provide them with good homes-I have more time to look for homes for them this time.
I wish I could take some of my plants to Australia with me-but I won't even have room for the family heirlooms to go with me. I am so touched that you would do that for me. Your Rose of Sharon will probably be 10 feet tall by the time we get over there and be established. You will hear from me again then. I would love to have a cutting of that bush when this is all over. It will be one of my new prized possessions-this gives me hope that we will get through all of this.
