New in BaltimoreI feel the need to echo admin's sentiments. "I worked outside today!" becomes "I worked outside all weekend!". That's part of the reason I joined this site. The garden's under my skin again and it's all I can think about. I am a homeowner on the southwestern side of Baltimore who has not one, but TWO properties (read "gardens") to maintain. I have sun, I have shade, I have a boggy spot in the back corner and a dry spot in the front. I even have a small fish pond, so I have the wonderful ability to grow almost anything that works in zone 7 (except carrots--I have no sandy soil). Isn't it funny that no matter how blessed we are, there's always some fly in the ointment? I have WONDERFUL soil and I cry for a sandy spot! Oh well, I'll just have to keep buying my carrots at the supermarket. Can't wait to see if the plant swaps on this site work for me. I tried to post something on the swap site but I don't think it worked. I'll have to try again. Would love to swap with someone in my area. Anyone from Baltimore? Diana |

| Hi Diana, welcome to the forum. ![]() I think there are a couple members located near you (of course, in Texan talk, that means within a 3 hour drive). Sounds like you have a lot of room for gardening projects! |
