QuestionAnyone else make crafts from recycled materials?

We spent yesterday afternoon rearranging our greenhouse, so we could setup a spot to start making crafts again, using the shells and driftwood picked up from Galveston beaches.

We've been collecting shells for the past 35yrs, and like to randomly make gifts with them.
Going to make a few more AngelWing, Shipped Wreck Shell Ships-(we made a few about 10yrs ago). Haven't made anything in a while. (Pics coming soon)

Here are pucs of the ones we made before, several years ago.

We'll try to improve them, and come up with new ideas for character figures made from them. I see them all the time in the shell shops, selling for lost of money.

How very talented you are!
Those look more well-crafted than most of the shell crafts which I see for sale in the local beach gift shops - and I love your workspace in the greenhouse.

Those are amazing Cathy, I love crafts made from things found in nature - you are so creative! I'm jealous of your craft area in your greenhouse too!

I love recycled crafts. Here are some of the things I do. Everything except for the knit blankets were made with reclaimed items. The sewing chair was reupholstered with an old faux leather jacket

Those are nice, you sure are creative and what a resourceful way to use old items. The bench, made from a twin bed was my favorite. Great Job!

What nice ways to recycle! I used to make pictures from old broken jewelry, but has been a long time since I made any. Now that I have moved, maybe I will make a few more. Used to love to hit the yard sales with my sister to find supplies, but then people watched too much Antique Roadshow or something and decided that their stuff was worth way more than I would pay just to craft with it. I still have some supplies lying around somewhere. Not sure if I have any pictures of the things I did. I gave most of them away.

Hi Cathy, I feel like I just visited your yard. I looked at all your pictures on Pinterest. I love the shell ships that started me on the journey to your yard. Looks like you enjoy gardening. Thanks for making the links accessible. Trudy
