outside growing is over for the year!

good morning from zone 5. this week has brought the outside garden to an end. temps down in the 20's. I had iris still blooming, and some caster bean still in the garden. the iris stills looks pretty good yet but the caster bean alas is no more. everything else is in the compost pile. I did repot some geraniums and some other things and brought them in the house. still working outside grinding leaves for the compost pile, made arrangements to have a load of manure put on the garden for next year. this is a very busy time for us. hope everyone had a great season in the garden. have a great Sunday.

Its over for us too. I'm zone 6, my mums are hanging there but everything else is looking bad. It got down to 30 here. About 45 minutes away they got 6 inches of snow. The ski resorts have already opened.

Lol, I just laugh, deal with it and go on. But me with basically boards strapped to my feet is not a good mental picture, lol.

Sounds like you've been keeping busy Davsher! I'm sure all the hard work you're doing now will make for some beautiful gardens next year.
