Garden is tilled!

Lord help me....that was a LOT of WORK! Feels like I just got a wiping from a two hundred pound arms are too heavy to hold up!

It's done though, and now I can concentrate on adding lawn cuttings and then tilling(easier the next time around) and checking the pH level. Going to add about 200# lime and about 100# 13-13-13 and then re-check the levels. Should be good to go after that. Just got to keep the lawn from thinking it should be there again....

Need to find a cow farmer somewhere close so I can make the neighbor happy. Love me some fresh warm cow pooo!!

Aww! Isn't it such a wonderful feeling though! That song hurts so good comes to mind! Good job! The hard part is done.

Really, I need to get on it,but wishing it would rain here first. The heat is letting up,so that's 1/2 the battle.

Hurts so Good is by John Mellencamp...wish he could have done the tilling.
Ice cream sounded good for a few moments, but couldn't scrape it out of the tub!

Feeling better today, just in time to mow the grass. It's not that hard to do, just supposed to be hot again today...and I bag for the compost bin.

I'll still need to till a few more times to get deeper(only went about 8-10"). The soil gets so hard, thinking that the roots won't be able to get through it. I got the RoundUp out and killed the grass, but with the new roots laying out, I'll need to do that again before re-tilling.

*cringe* I remember that "OMG my arms are so sore I can't lift them" feeling. Congrats on the tilling!
