Cycas - Houseplant

Hello everyone

I have a new Cycas potplant that I intend keeping in the house.
But I do not really know how to care for it.
WHat, how much and when do I need to feed it?
What position in a house would be best (I know they are supposed to be in full sun when outdoors.)

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I've been waiting for Cycas to answer my friendship request for months. its winter there i believe-he may not even be thinking "plants" right now.

(Of course I plan on planting on my windowsills all winter long-gotta get my fix somehow!)

Cycas grows best in sandy, well-drained soil, preferably with some organic matter. Their main requirement is perfect drainage, as they will develop root rot if water remains stagnant in the soil.
They need bright light when grown indoors. Always keep pots oriented in the same direction facing north to prevent the leaves from spiralling and twisting out of plane.
All parts of cycads are poisonous, especially the seeds. Keep plants out of the reach of children and pets.

oohh my....

Thats very god information to know!! Maybe that is something we should consider doing in the future. Adding a little note to say it is poisonous!!! I know I dont think about that because I dont usually have little ones running around my house. When my grand kids are here they are watched very closely.

My humblest apologies to all the plantswappers.
Please forgive my absence from the forum. I have been Internetless for months now. However, I am back now and hope to be more regular.

Oh- It is a Cycas revulata.

Thanks everyone for the responses. IT is appreciated.

I apologise yet again.
