Checkin up on my neighbors

Between all the heat and then the random thunderstorms here and there I haven't been able to do much in the gardens...just wanted to check in on our panhandle neighbors ...I know there are at least 2 others in my general area here...to Beavercreek and vettelover hope ya'll are stayin cool and dry and maybe we can get together soon when this heat wave rolls over lol...to the rest of ya'll take it easy also...don't be doing too much unless you're in the air conditioning

Up here in Virginia and the heat has been on! Oh my!!! I know my garden is suffering from lack of water but it has been just to darn hot even in the evenings. My electric bill is gonna be outrageous.

Deeka, I think the whole country has been suffering with the heat in one way or another this year. The power companies must be smiling big time. I have had my air conditioner on more this year than I have in the last three years at least. Humidity has been brutal.

thought the rain was gonna cool things down a bit...seems it's just muggy and heavy air now...at least the dust got washed off all the trees

So very thankful for the rain last night. We soooo needed it. It does seem a little cooler here today but the day is not over yet. I think I may attempt some garden clean up. At the least I'll go pull some weeds. Oh, I planted this ornamental grass 2 years back and it has popped up volunteers all over the place. I think this grass is not my friend.

Don't know what kind of grass that is that you planted but I do know that is one very cool picture.

Oh man tell me about it. Well I think this crazy weather is here to stay. Lately I just get out in the mornings and evening when it's cool enough to actually be out.

Deekas done it again! Another National Geographic photo!! I swear girl I don't think I've ever seen such talent

Summers were always brutal in the south, I can't imagine what it's like now.
