Am I allowed to ask what size zoom you use for the closeups?

Love your work.

I have a 60 zoom camera which I use, although a lot of the birds are on the sundeck and only 12 feet away. I have made the deck for photographing the birds for a few years now. This pic. will show some of the props that I have put up. (from a few years ago now) it is still more or less still like this. I change the props every so often. The latest yesterday, haven't taken a picture of it yet. Its great in the winter.

Wow you have a great imagination.
Props are clever also.
You cant get that close to birds here.. However we don't have huge birds here like that ......

Love your ideas.

Preparing for the feeding of the birds this coming winter. The first picture is an old branch, it was completely covered with moss when I fastened it up. The second picture is a new piece replacing it, put up yesterday. The moss etc. is drier than I would of liked but we have had a very dry summer. We will post pics when the birds arrive.

Doesn't it get costly feeding all the birds? Looks like rather large collection of them.....
Someone has to love it .;O)
The clubs here go hunting them but we don't have a huge variety like that.

However mom nature controls all that.
