your bird pictures are very interesting and last year while i was working in my garden i had a house wren come up and sit by me and i petted him

The nuthatch is adorable. I love them because they are so friendlly; like the chicadee. They are facinating to watch as they walk down tree trunks head first. Very entertainng little birds.

Missed a few days but I will post a few more. Today we have the female and male downy and the hairy woodpeckers and my little effort to try to show the difference.













The hairy is much bigger and also a larger beak. Check the beaks out with the size of their head on the last picture. There is no fiddling with the pictures. I caught them both on the same wood.
