Very pretty zuzu! Love your epi blooms! What do you feed them, how often, etc. etc. and what location do you house them? Thanks

Such a disgusting fate when the deer strike, my personal enemy this year is chipmunks. I never had any idea they'd cause such wreckage.
Thank you, yes, there are times when the garden is very fragrant - at the moment, it's the Confederate Jasmine which is dominating.

Wellll, our doe (we caught a pic of her on our trail cam) has decided that she likes hostas most of all - and she has returned to help us keep them very neatly clipped.
She found the ones I keep in pots, and the "fence" of monofilament that I set up is clearly no deterrent - looks quite happy, doesn't she?
And is it wrong of me to say that I envy you your chipmunks?
We don't have any of them around here, and I have always thought they were adorable.
Easy for me to say, right?

Thank you FD, in the spring and fall our epi's get foliar feedings with the same diluted fertilizer which we use for our orchids (cuz we're lazy like that ), and this 8x12 slathouse which we added onto the back of our glasshouse is their home.
During the winter, they live inside and they spend the summer hanging on the outside. Sometimes I do move them back for special care or picture taking.

Yep, nothing like a yummy buffet, right?
At this point, hubby and I are just calling them the "sacrificial hostas", and if they keep her satisfied and away from other plants, then I will be satisfied, too. *fingers crossed*

Thanks, friends.

Our doe has continued visiting, and having done a pretty good job of trimming all of the hostas, she now seems to be more focused on the Hibiscus plants.
Oh well, I won't begrudge her, she's a dainty eater and only takes foliage without doing any real damage to the plants.
They look like they've had a bad haircut, but they will recover.

Meanwhile, it's been kinda crazy around here for the past few weeks with summer visitors in town and lots of holiday festivities, so I have fallen behind - but I did snap a few pics:

Some Oriental Lilies outside the glasshouse door - 'Casablanca' and 'Stargazer':
and this is the Tiger Lily's "weird-looking" cousin ;D
Lilium lancifolium Flore Pleno:
Gloriosa rothschildiana:
Zephyranthes in yellow, the so-called "Rain Lilies":
Clerodendrum incisum in bud -
I actually like these buds better than the opened flowers.
Easy to see why it's commonly called "Musical Notes" plant:
Duranta erecta - the hummingbirds are loving this one
And last, but not least,
last night (July 4th ) this flower opened looking like fireworks!
Selenicereus grandiflora:
Thanks for looking.

Beautiful! And the musical note plant is something I've never seen before! Too cool! I will have to keep my eyes open for that one.
