My daughter called me today. It seems she was at an "Atwoods" store (we don't have any in OKC but she has them in Tulsa) and they had hoards of bulbs on clearance! So she's describing them to me as she meanders down the sections and puts my treasures in the cart. What a sweet heart! (I have a bank account set up with her name on it for just such occasions.) She got me a purple clematis, a blue clematis, a pink and white clematis, several calla lilies, a dark red lily, white lily, a few asiatic lilies, dahlias, 3 colors of caladiums, a white peony, some lily of the valley, yellow day lilies, and various varigated cannas- 8 varieties for my pond. She said everything was crying to be taken home and put in the ground. I told her it was a good thing she was there instead of me or I would've gotten in trouble with the hubby! I hate to see plants dying in a dry bin. I can't wait to see everything when she brings it on Monday! Woo hoo!

LOL I am a green house merchandiser. I take care of the plants that the growers send to the store. Mostly I try to make the displays look good. I move plants around alot. LOL I deal with annuals but theres perennials, trees, bushes, etc there too. I like the job alot. The only thing that bothers me is the toss. When I have to throw plants away. Oh yea, and the smell of marigolds. I never liked that smell before and now I REALLY dont like it.

Deal In My Own Yard

I had planted a bunch of hostas last year. Well it was the end of the seson and I kinda just stuck em here and there. Well everytime it rains here I find more and more popping up. I am so glad because I thought I had needed more and turns out I dont! If I got more it would be to just add variety to my garden. Just thought I would share that.

I went through that last year. Every time I turned around there were more popping up because I had forgotten where I planted them. LOL
