Any NY gardeners?

NY's hardiness zones vary from zone 3 to 6. I'm in 5, in a mountain area so there are lots of microclimates too. Anyone from NY?

Port Jervis, NY

Hi I'm in Port Jervis, NY. Just joined Plant Swap, and I'm going to put up more pictures of what I have soon. Can you put up some Pictures of what you have? I love to see the pictures of what everyone is growing.
The growing season is pretty much done here...so sad. Time to take the plants inside for the cold weather. Got any Plants or seeds for trading?

Any NY gardeners

Yes! I just joined today. I was looking for some information on growing Hostas from seed. These bonus 60 degree days we had got me back outside and those seeds were just calling to me. Now I'm not sure when to plant them, what kind of containers, should I make a mini-greenhouse or just pop them in the ground when spring arrives (late May for us up here in the North Pole!). I am in the Thousand Islands area on Lake Ontario. Where are you?

Hi!! Welcome to the site ....I love the thousand islands! I've been there a few times, keep wanting to take my kids there.
I think hosta seeds should be started indoors... I have some to start up to, but will wait until closer to spring.
