You can eat crow.......

Only recipe I used , melt the suet on medium heat and add oil sunflower seed and the mixed wild bird seed.. Mix and cool.

metal containers are the molds .. It pops right out when cold in the frig.
I made a bunch the other day and froze till needed.

YOu can add junk like raisans and cereals or left overs......Put my dog and cats eat the scraps ...........So the birds eat the seed.

Thumbs up

that's really neat bali. i just put pieces of fruit and bread on the picnic table outside and cover it all in bird seed. so far it's working pretty well but i plan on making a few bird houses and feeders this summer to up the population around here. i hope to get as many as i can with out the kitty cats getting too many of them. safety in numbers i guess. but so far they haven't brought any corpses home so i think it's ok for now. i throw the seed on the roof too where the kitties can't get to.

Thanks.
Game warden gave me couple bird houses, I bought the large feeder an hang it on my porch ledge......Cats cannot get there.

Another suet holder on my flower pot holder. They cant crawl a steel post.

They are kept indoors! I always have to laugh when the tree swallows come back and are twittering on the edge of the roof. Drives the cats crazy! Great job bali. Always wanted to try making our own suet.
