SPRITE MELON anyone?

g'day all -- I am new to this forum and am hoping someone can help me. I ate a wonderful 'melon' last summer called a Sprite Melon. It is a melon with a flavor like pear, apple, and honeydew. Anyhow -- I am desperately seeking these seeds. If anyone has them, please contact me!!!!

Welcom Linna.. Never heard of your sprite melon and I'm curious about it too now.. Did you get it from your local grocer?? I've never seen them sold around here in NY before.. For that matter, not even when I've travelled either, which is quite extensively..

Doesn't it sound wonderful. Well it is! I live in VA and had it at a local farmer's market this summer. I REALLY want to grow it - just the right size- perfect flavor. I just wrote to a grower to see if they would sell me seeds. Will let you know what I find!

Hi Linna,
I bought several 'Sprite' melons at the local grocery store last season,
and they were FANTASTIC - soooo sweet!
I didn't save the seeds because I have no space to grow melon vines,
but if they appear in my local grocery again (and if you haven't already found seeds)
I'll be happy to save the seeds and send them to you.

Zuzu, if you see them again, save me a few seeds too.. I want to try those melons.. I haven't seen them before or I'd get them myself too since I love eating melons right now.. Might have something to do with the pregnancy..

Hey all- thanks so much for being curious about these melons. I just talked to my local CSA and they reached out to some NC farmers to see if they would see her some. So hopefully that outlet will work out! If so, I will sprout a few indoors, and pass on the others! I also have a person part of the seed saver network trying to find some as well. Updates as I get them! I am glad someone else has tried them.....mmmm.......
