Of course, i remember my old banana plants so im misting religiously. I got a new mister yesterday that rotates so its super easy to spray underneath. Of these plants my banana plant will show the fastest growth. I highly recommend growing one, they are so rewarding and attractive, even if you don't get fruit.

I think ill specialize in growing fruit, i like veggies but something about fruit take me back to my childhood, and id take a great tasting fruit over cake or pies. Hmm, if i keep my site growing i might end up getting a url. This is all a great learning experience.

I'm growing a banana plant in a big pot. We brought it in the other week because it got down in the 40's. I got spooked and brought all of my potted plants in. Everything except the banana is back outside (it's big and heavy). I'm also growing lemons, tangerines and grapefruit in pots and pomegranate in the ground, all started from seed. All of the citrus are almost a year old. The banana I got off Ebay this past spring. It was about 4-5 inches tall. Now it's 5-6 feet tall and has 2 pups.
