RabbitsHi, If you or someone you know has a dog, you can use their hair. I received some Star of Bethlehem in a a trade and couldn't wait for it to bloom. The rabbits kept eating all the leaves, until I tried dog hair. Every time I brush my dog, I save his hair to tuck around the plants. When the wind or maybe birds remove it, I just replace. Linda |

| I take one garlic clove and one hot pepper, put them in a blender, and chop them up. I add to this, water to fill the blender 3/4 way up, and whirr till blended well. I put this into a spray bottle with a drop of dish soap. shake, and spray on my plants. It is organic, and keeps the deer, rabbits and other critters off. It also works to deter aphids and a few leaf eating bugs. Doesn't hurt plants or veggies. I don't use it for birds, as they do not hate the heat recepters in the mouth, but it works good to keep squirrels out of my bird feeders, if I add some dryed and chopped hot peppers alone, to the bird feed. I also use the hair, and even add ours, saved from haircuts here. If you don't cut your own, most barber/ beauty shops can give you a batch of it on any given day. Hope some of this helps. Brenda |

MandyI've heard taht planting marigolds around outside of plant shall deter varmints! I have a baby native rose that my bunnies have had a heyday with so I'm going to try the marigold trick. We'll see, lol! |
