Horsetail tea

I've been reading about a tea made from the horsetail plant and it is supposed to be helpful with kidney problems... it also stated that it was a wonderful medicine for lung problems.... has anyone heard this before?... and if so, how do you make it?.... we live in what is called the Bible Belt but it is also the kidneystone belt of the US.... ouch!
