Apple mint smells like mint and when you crush it, it gives off an apple smell...almost green apple. I got it as starts so next spring when it comes up again I will send you starts if you would like...

I love mint. Try to keep them in pots though because they're invasive in the garden. I've grown pineapple and banana mints before, as well as the types you guys mentioned. Have seeds for apple mint.

Thanks Gardennerd, about my Bay tree! Here it is today and it's very happy indeed. Loving the 2 huge reddish/green leaves it's growing at the top of the tree....

Thanks, Raccoon.

Yes there are many wonderful mint varieties, Gardennerd! Lots of great basil varieties too. I just recently sowed some "purple ruffles" basil.

Here today are some ripening berries on my St. John's Wort plant....

Yes, they are rich purple colored right from the start. I'll continue to show them as they grow.

More should be germinating soon.

I also have "red rubin" basil but purple ruffles is better...in my opinion.

I'll send you some basil seeds in the Fall, Raccoon. Basil grows amazingly indoors, anytime of year.
