Party Crackers

You've GOT to try this one to believe it.
I was skeptical when my mother told me about it 2-3 weeks ago, but I tried it and I am hooked on these things.

Here's the recipe:

1 box (w/ 4 sleeves) of Premium Crackers
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
1 packet of dry Ranch Seasoning
2 TB Crushed Red Pepper

Add all ingredients to a large zip-type storage bag and toss until evenly coated. May work better if you split ingredients in half and do it twice. That's a LOT of crackers!

That's it... ENJOY!

These are great for parties, football food, with tuna salad, etc...
You can find almost any use for them.

And no... the oil does not make the crackers soggy. They still retain their crunch.

These will keep for 1-2 weeks. But I bet they won't last that long. A whole batch of them lasted 3 days in my house. lol

Later,
AlphaDog

Dill and garlic sound good too, but you bake them??

This recipe doesn't call for that, just a little shake. LOL

Can you make a new thread with the recipe for your crackers? I'd love to try them out!!

Sure let me go find it!!!

Ok here we go..You can just double or tripple this for your football buddy get togethers..lol
OYSTER CRACKERS
1 cup veggie oil (your choice)
1 tsp. Dill Weed (dry)
1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt
1 Pkg. Ranch Salad dressing (dry in envelope kind)

Wisk together oil ,dill weed ,garlic salt and ranch dressing in a bowl.
Pour over 2 - 12 oz. Packages of oyster crackers and let stand for at least 1 hour.
You can microwave or put on baking sheets.
For microwave mom says she just puts them in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute stirs and 1 minute more and done.
For Baking sheet maybe 15-20 minutes on about 225 degrees and keep your eye on them so they dont burn with the oil on them.
We keep them in a air tight container after they cool.

My mom says the recipe is on the package of oyster crackers.
