Grandma's Cucumber Salad

This cucumber salad is GREAT as a snack, side dish, garnish, whatever!!
It takes 3 brain cells to make. (I say that because I'm not a guru in the kitchen and I can do this, lol)

Here's how to do it:

Ingredients:

4-5 Cucumbers (medium sized, 3-4 inches long)
1/8 - 1/4 c Salt
1/4 c. White Vinegar
3/4 c. Water
2-4 fresh sprigs of Dill (dried will work, but fresh is WAY better)
Black Pepper (to taste)
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. Sugar (optional, I never use it in mine)

Peel the cucumber and slice them cross ways so you have many little cucumber circles. Put them in a bowl. Pour the salt evenly over the cucumber slices, toss a little, cover, and put in fridge anywhere from 2 hours to overnight. Doesn't matter.

After removing from fridge, uncover, and pour all liquid off of cucumbers. (Trust me, the liquid WILL be there, LOL) (Do not towel moisture off of cukes. Lightly straining them with a strainer is perfect.)

Add vinegar, water, dill, pepper (and sugar if desired).

Chill and enjoy.

I don't know if you've ever heard of this recipe, but my great grandmother passed it down until it has reached me. It's always been a family recipe, but I'm sharing it with you guys so you can have a taste of it as well. I can eat my weight in this snack. Matter of fact, I'm going to go eat some now.

Yep, I've got some ready to put in my belly. LOL

Let me know how yours turn out. Hope you enjoy them!

I slice up some onions and add to the cucumbers. They are yummie too like that. Next time you make it alpha, add a few onion slices and let me know how you like them.
