Yes, good point about stripping the product build-up. Vinegar is awesome for this....or adding some baking soda to your shampoo works well too.

Yup, and someday too, it will be great for soaking our dentures in, to remove unwanted stains!

Hopefully, we won't be wearing any though!

Another natural beauty product I enjoy from my kitchen, are lemons!!!

Lemons are amazing skin brighteners! They are loaded with vitamin C & citric acid, so the skin lightens and brightens with ongoing use.

Vitamin C is a wonderful antioxidant for balancing out free radicals and promoting collagen development. It's even said to lighten age spots!! Although I don't have any yet, my grandmother uses them all the time, for hers.

But it's not a good idea however, to use lemon juice on your skin while in the sun...because you will be more susceptible and sensitive to UV rays. You don't want to harm your skin.

Lemon juice is also amazing for my t-zone oily skin because it eliminates excess oils.

I even use it to remove stains from my long fingernails!

Hey yeah Lig....we did too!

What about aloe vera gel from the plant? Great on burns and even for shaving.

Also too, coconut oil can be used as a make-up remover! Works quite well.

Aloe vera is my #1 burn and blister remedy. Honey works as well for burns.

Pore cleaning mask

1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 tbsp milk

Mix together and warm to the touch in microwave (I do 30 seconds) rub on face and let dry completely for 30 minutes. It smells nasty, but then you can peel it off and it removes any ice on your face plus it helps smooth!!

Yes that is a terrific one, Nerd! Thank you.

I also like using plain Greek yogurt on my face, mixed with raw unpasteurized honey...leaves my skin soft and smooth. The honey revives my skin cells. The yogurt acts as a carrying agent for the honey, reducing the stickiness and making it easier to spread.

Oh and another oil I love for my skin is grape seed oil. So amazing and not super greasy either.

Do you guys buy some of your products at the health store? I get a lot of mine there and love the oils they have too....like oil of pure orange. I even came across oil of oregano recently and picked some up. Very expensive but very amazing too. Totally pure and organic.
