SmileBaked apple butter....;o)


I JUST FINISHED BAKING APPLE BUTTER IN MY OVEN. Being were loaded with apples I got hungry for the apple butter we ate many moons ago.. I was lazy an made it in the Oven , an low an behold it turned out great.

Any one else out there doing this?
It is delicious.

we used our roaster oven does that count? it was really easy and was great. my mom used big pot on the stove.

That will work.......
It is easier in a any oven.. Our folks used to do it in a large black post outside .. Took many hours.

we cooked ours all-day don't remember the excite number of hours but it was a long time, but it was well worth the effort.

You are correct Zuzu......Adding some fresh cider to the toast treat an your in heaven.. It smells wonderful an tastes better than store bought.

Thanks.......An Halloween in the air. Guy was here working on my phone an I gave him a glass of cider an a Hershey candy bar.. told him it is trick an treat time here in our area..LOL Yesterday I gave a neighbor Lolipops for her an her kid.LOL Trick an treat.

I just got a dehydrator as a gift, am playing with it. I dried some apples slices and also some hot peppers. Now I need a spice grinder.
