3 day detox


Well i decided to take a challenge and do a 3 day detox of my body. It should help me get on track to eating more healthy and cleanse my body of toxins. i pray for strength to endure.

I just drank my morning glass of ginger lemon water and it was very good!

Has anyone ever done a detox like this before? i would be curious to hear of your experience.

Yeah, I tried this one like this but it was for a 5 day cleanse. It worked great the first couple of days but then the acid from he citrus and tomato juice started killing my stomach. Not to mention that raw celery everyday caused more stomach issues. The green drink is great but I think mine had more spices in it. I had to leave the celery out of the drink cause I started over after my stomach settled down. I have to be very careful of how, when and how much to eat of certain things. Hope it works for you I may give it another shot.

Thanks so far its been going well. This was my first day.
I like the celery in it, it gives such a good fresh flavor..its a mild vegetable from what I understand..but it may have somthing that doesnt agree with your system. I find the ginger to be more of an issue with me, its a very strong root and i have to be gentle with it..I may even exclude it tomorrow I dont know yet.

I do know I have felt good today, more energy.

RR good luck, doesnt sound appetizing at all. This isnt like the cerely diet of the 30's?
I hope to just start eating better this year, and continue to at least exercise at least 3times a week.

No this is not a fad diet..this is only a 3 day detox....the ingredients for this is very specific to provide a good detox of toxins in the organs, blood and so on...annd it bring the body into balance. Its not meant to be apetizing its meant to cleanse. i dont care for the recipies to much but i do fool good after eating them today and look forward to the next few days.

Celery is on ONE ingredient and not even the main one.

I finished my detox last night but still has some salad and soup left so finished it today. I feel really good after doing this. I a planning a 3 day juice fast now.

I will be making juice drinks to help detox my body further and give me very good nutrition at same time. I will have only juices and water for 3 days, no solid food at all.

How often do you do this? Is the purpose of these cleansings to loose weight

As long as it makes you feel better afterwards, and doesnt make you sick.

Sounds like you did really good RR. Just donít over-do with the detox thing, you still need good nutrition to keep yourself healthy.

Thanks Swampy..this is the first time I have done this and I have had more nutrition in the last 4 days then i have in a week..this is really good and good for the body..its all veggies and fruits. I feel better then I have in a while.

Cathy the point of it is to get toxins out of the body and start feeding the body the things it needs in the form it is made to digest. Raw fruits and veggies and proteins from plant sources. The result is better health and weight loss because the body is not taking in any refined packaged garbage empty foods but instead it is getting vital nutients and fluids. Drinking lots of pure water is good also.

On side note: detoxing can make you feel lousy for a few days because the body is getting all the toxins out, but the symptoms should go away as the body rids the toxins and gets good nurishment.

Day one with just juices...doing good so far but its only 12:30pm..lol

I do feel hungry a little but I am drinking water. The juice I made was excellent though..so yummy

2 apples
1 orange
half a lemon
1/4 or a little more of a cucumber
1/4 avacodo

Juice the first 4 then put in the blender with the avacodo....mmmmmm!

Sounds like a really good drink RiverRock. We do a lot of juicing in the summer months with the fresh veggies, and fruits from the garden. On hot days we throw in a bit of ice cream and just enjoy the heck out of our drinks.

I say the juice thingy sounded very good an healthy.
Some of the other stuff I never heard of ..

You do need protein in your diet at times.
