Fort Bend County Plant Swap

Yadda has posted the first ever swap event (the Fort Bend County Plant Swap) in the event calendar.

Yadda, is this a potluck food event? Is someone organizing the food menu?

No one is organizing the food menu. This duty has been kind of hit or miss. Is there a way to organize this on this site?

I don't have anything in place (yet?) for organizing pot lucks beyond discussions here in the forums.

I could add another field to the user Profile where people can state what food items they are bringing (just like the want/have lists). But, everyone will have to update their attending/unattending status as they update their profiles and it could get messy for the die-hards that like to attend multiple swaps. I'll think about this one and see if I can find a more elegant solution.

The swap is this Saturday. I will be bringing multiples of the following plants that I do not want to take home. Mock orange, banana, passiflora incense, purple mums, black pepper vine, cuttings of white and peach brugs, passiflora foetida, rooted pineapple plants and lots of others. Come take a few off my hands! Yadda out.

Ugh. Sorry I couldn't make the swap yesterday Yadda. I was not feeling well and spent most of the day on the couch.

I hope the swap was a success though.
