Is this a Weeping Cherry?

Hey all...

Here's a couple of cell phone snaps of my so-called Weeping Cherry tree seedlings that I have grown from seed. Got them off of eBay.

Can anyone please tell me if they are, in fact, what they were sold as?
I would hate to know I have nursed these two 'weeds'. lol

While you are trying to figure it out, I'll be trying to get some better pics.
Bear with me...

EDIT: Ok, I added 3 more pics...

Alpha the leaves look similar to our weeping cherry's leaves. You might be in luck there! They are shaped the same way and have the veins running through the same way.

My experience has been that weeping cherry's are grafted trees.

Gardeningmom... I've heard the same thing, but I've also read that growing one of these from seed is very possible. Although the life span is not as long as the grafted trees.

Thanks for the replies... any other confirmation?

Hello

The weeping cherry trees are normally grafted onto "wild" cherry rootstock. As for growing a weeping variety from seed, you can expect a very SMALL percentage of the seeds to actually carry the "weeping gene." In other words, your trees are most likely just beautiful regular Cherry Trees, but I would imagine that it will be another year or two before you notice any weeping habit, if any at all.
Did you find it hard to grow them from seed? I'd love to know.
