(Trees) what am i doing wrong?

I have been trying to grow trees for years, All different types.

Currently im growing Chinese Catalpa, Golden Chain, Yellowhorn and Thornless Black Locust....Like times before, the seeds sprout and grow about 3-5 inches very fast, then stop growing and leaves begin to turn brown at the edges....thats the stage im at now....

The yellowhorn has begun to brown yet, but if it goes like it has before, the time is coming.....what am i doing wrong

If your start trees inside.
You must harden them off little by little each day to get used to the outside.
IN Pa it is a must.

Hey gals, just so you know, this is an old thread so you might not get a response. The person who posted this hasn't been on in over 2 years.
