We finally had enough pecans on our two young trees for a pecan pie and the squirrels got them in the past two days.

We always wanted to attract squirrels to our back yard. We tried every thing,
squirrel mix, sunflower seeds, etc. Except pecans. Huuumm I wonder if I put a coconut out there if they would try to take it. LOL

Talking

I love the squirrels, they keep the dates from ripening on our Canary Island Date palm. LOL Other than that I suppose they are satisfied because I have never caught them in our gardens.

Oh how I envy being able to make homemade pecan pie with fresh pecans. Enjoy!!!

Just be glad you have have squirrels instead of rats.

A telephone crew cut tjis huge hackberry down behind my house intown and this squirel moved into my yard and for , three weeks he did nothing but scream holy hell at us from our roof top and at night he dug one hole after another. He went just plain nuts. it was amazing. The whole neighborhood would check by everyday to see if he was still screaming.

ugh

Shows how much know, I didn't think squirrels made any noise. Unless sitting on the fence and teasing the dogs counts. He seems to like dropping on top of the shed to hear it go thunk.

I would love to know how they can plant acorns from my neighbors front yard in the middle of a bunch of cacti with out getting stuck. Of course its where I can't get to it, so I have oak trees growing in the middle of the cactus.

I agree. I use them for target practice with a pellet gun! They can be very destructive and annoying!
