Paulownia (princess) tree to cut back or no

The past 4 yrs I have cut it back to the ground the first of April as directions told me to do when I bought it. Now, someone has said if I stop cutting it back it will bloom this year. So, I haven't. The directions said it will not bloom for 20 or more years.
This year the leaves are very small compared to the past 4 yrs. of giant leaves, so large in fact I make bird baths out of them.
So, who has a Paulownia and how do you take care of yours?

This site should tell you all you need to know. My advice, don't cut it. You can also look up the Gardeners Watchdog rating for Gardeners Choice or almost any other gardening company. All in all, a very handy site.

Hope this was usefull.
Have a good day!
Bob
