Looking For Scion Wood/Budwood for grafting. (Persimmon)

Hi, Im looking for anyone that can give me or trade me some Persimmon Scion wood (cuttings) that I can use for grafting.
Just give me the address and when they will be ready for shipping and I'll send a call tag to have them picked up by UPS.

Ofcourse it's not the time of year to cut them yet but I just want to be prepared for when it's time.

Any type of Persimmon is wanted.

Thank you...

I've got a persimmon

tree but have never messed around with grafting so you'll have to walk me thru collecting it for you.

Hey

Hey, thanks... Just wait until the tree goes dormant for the winter, find a straight limb with healthy closed buds about two feet long & about the size of your finger in diameter, clean your pruning sheers very well with rubbing alcohol so that you don't spread any problems to the tree then cut it off at the base. Wrap up both ends and put in the fridge (not freezer) until ready to ship. Thank you!

I've got several

We have several persimmons and I can send ya' some of these. Now, I just need to find some good recipes for this fruit. My kids have been eating them by the handfuls, and the deer love them, too - I still have tons of fruit. Good luck with the grafting, I can PM you once they start to go dormant.

Great! I have tons of Diospyros Virginiana trees that I want to graft so that will help me out alot. I'll send you some of my own personal southern recipes that I've came up with myself that you'll love. Thanks again!
