Hi I am new here, my name is bali. I am from pennsylvania, I am retired and live on a small farm with my husband.

Now my question is, does anyone do any christmas tree seed germinating?
I have some started an would enjoy hearing from anyone on the subject.

Welcome!

Haven't tried it but have certainly thought about it. Just a couple weeks ago I was pulling apart a pinecone and looking at the seed. I have such a small patch of ground that I wouldn't have room for it once I grew it. My family is hoping to move to Australia in the next few years and I may be growing several trees from seeds when the time comes. Taking plants on a day long flight is not feasible. Seeds may be our only option if we want to grow our special trees.
Sorry I can't help ya out but I will be watching to see if anyone else has done it.

Hey put the seeds in a paper envelope, that way they wont rot, and take them with you .. You may be suprised.
No problem in a suit case .

Thanks for the looking.

dustbunny ,

I have my seeds growing in a tray with sand and wood shavings and they grew great. My problem, when I put them in soil , they dont all grow.

Thanks ,
